Frank Risk Table Tennis
Accounted4 attended the 10th Annual Doubles Table Tennis Tournament — Funds Raised for Mitey
Accounted4 proudly competed in the 10th Annual Doubles Table Tennis Tournament hosted by Frank Risk Management on Wednesday, 7 August at The Atrium, Wintec, Hamilton. Geoff represented the team in the Competitive division’s knockout format, while David attended to support and cheer on the players.
The event featured strong competition across Competitive and Social divisions, with all proceeds donated to Mitey, a mental health initiative founded by Sir John Kirwan. Operated through the Sir John Kirwan Foundation, Mitey aims to embed mental health education into New Zealand primary and intermediate schools for children aged 5 to 13.
Attendees also enjoyed a raffle with great prizes generously provided by local sponsors.
This tournament was a fantastic opportunity for Accounted4 to connect with the community, have fun, and support a worthy cause. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event!
Cambridge Raceway Event
Accounted4 was proud to sponsor a race "The Accounted4 Tax Time Mobile Pace" at the recent Midwinter Christmas event at Cambridge Raceway. Supporting local events like this is all about giving back to the community that we’re part of and helping create memorable experiences for everyone involved.
Our directors and their partners enjoyed an evening immersed in the track atmosphere, celebrating alongside fellow locals. A special moment was Kim’s behind-the-scenes mobile ride, which gave her a unique, up-close view of the race excitement.
Sponsoring local events like this is our way of showing commitment to the Cambridge community and contributing to events that bring people together. We’re looking forward to continuing this journey of support and connection in the seasons ahead.
Sara joins Wāhine Toa Leading the Way: Voices from CA ANZ Governance
We’re proud to share that Sara Hall, CA and member of the CAANZ Waikato Local Committee, recently took part in the inspiring panel discussion Wāhine Toa Leading the Way: Voices from CA ANZ Governance.
This event celebrated the voices of wāhine leaders shaping the future of our profession, bringing together prominent members serving in governance roles across CA ANZ. Alongside Naomi Walsh FCA, Vice President CA ANZ, and Alecia Wright-Chand CA, NZ CA ANZ Council member, Sara shared her personal journey into governance and what motivates her leadership.
The panel delved into the challenges and opportunities wāhine face in leadership roles, reflected on the newly released CA ANZ strategy, and offered practical advice for members keen to step into governance positions.
Whether you’re an emerging leader or simply interested in the future of accounting, Sara’s insights and the wider conversation are a reminder of the power of wāhine leading the way in our profession.
