Time to Celebrate!

Accounted4 recently celebrated a special milestone, one that marked 60 years of service to Cambridge and its surrounding district. In the beginning the Company's roots were formed with the first kernel of an idea taking shape after Jack Shannon came from Ashburton to purchase Ted Littler's practice in late 1955. Accounting practices were relatively new to Cambridge then, as most local businesses had their accounting needs taken care of in Hamilton.

Close collaboration with other working professionals saw Jack Shannon's practice grow to the point where he took on a partner, Bruce Fleming. When Bruce left in 1963, Graham Wrigley joined the firm and it took on the name Shannon and Wrigley. After 58 years operating as Shannon Wrigley and Co, the decision was made to rebrand the company and 'Accounted4' was launched in the Town Hall on 23 April 2013. We now have eleven chartered accountants offering over 200 years of knowledge and experience in the profession, with a 31 strong team.

The present Directors of the firm are Grant Calvert, Martyn Steffert and David Faville. Three longstanding retired Directors, Richard Edge, John Boone and John Landers still continue to work as consultants in the firm.

A culture of pride, integrity, teamwork and fun is deep within the heart of operations at Accounted4. Building commercial and community relationships has always been important, and the practice now enjoys strong community connections through participation in local events and regular sponsorships of local community, family and sporting organisations.

We would like to say a special "Thank you" to all our valued clients and business partners for helping us achieve 60 years!
