Sincere condolences to the Wrigley Family

The Directors and the Accounted4 Team would like to express our sincere condolences to the Wrigley Family at the sad loss of Graham who passed away on the 13th July 2017.

Grant Calvert had the pleasure of working with Graham Wrigley and shares this memory:

Graham Dixon Wrigley (1937 - 2017)

“It is with sadness we acknowledge Graham’s passing on the 13th July 2017, one week short of his 80th birthday.

Graham, known in the practice as GDW, was a founding partner with Jack Shannon, of Shannon Wrigley & Co Ltd in 1963.

The practice was known as Shannon Wrigley & Co Ltd from 1963 – 2013 when we rebranded to become known as Accounted4 Ltd.

Graham was an old school accountant skilled as an adder and subtractor of long columns of numbers by hand before the advent of calculators and computers. He was also a master of manual journals, ledgers, and manually prepared and typed sets of accounts.

Graham was a larger than life character around the office. Always fun, he treated everyone, whether a staff member or a client from any walk of life with the same respect and genuine interest.

Graham was a very outgoing gregarious person. Active in the community he was a very social active golfer, a Cambridge Club Stalwart, passionate horse breeder and racing follower.

Graham was a well-respected colleague, mentor and work mate to a lot of people at Shannon Wrigley over his 50 years at the practice. Often hilarious and always fun, he was an absolute character who enjoyed life.

Rest in Peace GDW.”
